38w LEDvance HQL LED FILAMENT
1 x 38w LEDvance LED retrofit lamp for mercury vapour lamps.

It features the same design as traditional HQL lamps with frosted ellipsoid full glass bulb to make full use of existing luminaire optics / reflector due the 360 degree beam angle. Has instant full light output with no warm up time and can be used on straight mains or with existing ballast as long as any ignitor or PFC capacitor is removed.

Actually has a nice colour and it's about the size of a 150w SON-E lamp.
They do make one with an E27 cap which makes sense for a 125w MBF retrofit but I chose the E40 version as it is more aesthetically pleasing.

It looks like they were able to reduce the outer bulb to the actual size of the lamp its intended to replace, very nice.

To be fair, some of these are not bad in terms of looks for replacing traditional lamps and even in light output and improved colour rendering. it's just a shame that they've all come along too late to actually be able to use them in the millions of now scrapped lamterns that took traditional light sources.
