6w Sylvania MicroLynx F
1 x 6w Sylvania Microlynx F compact fluorescent lamp.

These ultra low profile lamps were originally developed to replace tungsten halogen lamps used in furniture & cabinet lighting and other applications where a compact low temperature light source was required.

Inside these little lamps is a small diameter fluorescent tube that has been formed into a flat grid behind a prismatic cover.
The very compact electronic ballast is in the lamp base behind a metal disc that acts as both a reflector and heat shield.

You can read a very interesting brochure here:

Cool little lamps, sometimes saw these used as ceiling lights too. I’ve also seen outdoor bulkheads designed to take these lamps.
