Wtf lol. And have You heard about the meet mate?
Slyspark   [11 Mar, 2016 at 10:56 PM]
I'll give that a 1
Kev   [11 Mar, 2016 at 11:20 PM]
Lol I'm going to go for a 3, only thinking of the old dorman smith a subby we used to use dropped his plyers across 2 phases taking out 1361 fusee!
XmasLightGuy   [11 Mar, 2016 at 11:37 PM]
Ok...I see a breakerbox, but I guess I don't see what the issue/problem is??

Though it looks like its been pieced together a little bit at a time Laughing

Exposed 3 phase busbar. Nice.
AngryHorse   [12 Mar, 2016 at 08:04 AM]
Their all like this before the breakers go in, but yes, each 3 is live at a total of 720 volts!!!!, just hope the blanks were put in the front board!, do I see no armor earths on the SWA?
Kev   [12 Mar, 2016 at 08:52 AM]
The voltage will never be more than 415 across any of the phases at one time. These Schneider 3P boards are very good you can isolate the busbars with those little phase coloured switches so not live. Still it's just a shabby mess!
benlucysam   [12 Mar, 2016 at 09:30 AM]
Im glad you agree Kev ! Maybe not as fussy in the states, if i was the client i would have them back.
benlucysam   [12 Mar, 2016 at 09:32 AM]
On the right hand side the cover doesent sit back properly, so much stuffed in there
Kev   [12 Mar, 2016 at 10:22 AM]
I wouldn't say there is an Awuful lot of circuits actually in that board it's just dressed so badly lol
FrontSideBus   [12 Mar, 2016 at 10:44 AM]
Well techincally it's 415v RMS but the true peak will be higher. Like standard 240v mains is actually 340v peak! Cool Multimeter not set to true rms to get that high figure?
AngryHorse   [12 Mar, 2016 at 04:06 PM]
So my maths is a bit out here?, but if each phase pin measures 240, wouldn`t all 3 to neutral measure at 720?
Yeah those Schneider boards are fair little units, we have used one of the little 2 way ones for our new workshop.
Kev   [12 Mar, 2016 at 06:02 PM]
No because only 1 phase is live at one time!
Kev   [12 Mar, 2016 at 06:06 PM]
Or 1 and a half at 50Hz the other phase would be off.
AngryHorse   [12 Mar, 2016 at 08:29 PM]
I`m with you now, hence why a 3 phase motor can `self start`?
OsramAwesomness2   [07 Sep, 2017 at 10:09 PM]
If it is possible I'd give it 0 as that could cause an electrical fire probably Shocked
AngryHorse   [09 Sep, 2017 at 10:31 AM]
We have a Square D board upstairs at work worse than this! Rolling Eyes
FrontSideBus   [09 Sep, 2017 at 11:14 AM]
It's all about the phase angle.
Zelandeth   [09 Sep, 2017 at 03:42 PM]
Yuk...still can't stand the black, brown and grey 3ph colours. Especially when standing on your head in a barn trying to tell them apart from under half an inch of dust. Never mind a pieced together installation with both new and old colours...as for that one, eh...three or four. It'll do the job, but clearly no pride has been taken in it, just throw it together then off to the next job...
