Simplex Solumbra at full power

After sorting the electrics out last night, the lantern was now ready for firing up. I've always loved opal bowls lit with SOX, and this one didn't disappoint in the slightest. The ballast currently fitted is pretty much silent, and runs lamps up to brightness faultlessly. I've since found a genuine Simplex ballast, so when it arrives, it'll immediately be fitted, returning the lantern to 100% originality once more.
