hi fsb yes it is i just tried it out and its very bright, i believe its bigger than a 400w envelope very similar in size to the other 400w half coated merc i have from russia its not self ballasted though

This is a beautiful lamp. Russian lamps are fascinating! These are the same size envelope as a 700w merc.

there were 7 of them available but i think they are all gone now i bought one ill look to see if there are any more
