thanks for the replies, yep its a common 180w sox problem as per james site. the gas can fail before the electrodes. it still works and very similar to the 180s we tested the other day.

its the 180w i got in glasgow, we also swapped the late nineties 135w philips.

a lot of sox lamps of all types can and have ended up like this, not limited to 180 but the whole range.

I havent officially sold any yet. Not had time to list them but i think Kevs having the SON TDs richard is having a 160w wotan merc im having the 125w mercs thats about it so far
