E12? Odd little lamp. very nice though. Dunno where you'd put it but im sure it'd find a place.

Yes E12 socket here in the US is second most common lamp socket. whilie UK and Europe us E14 socket for small lamps.

I have seen those "candle stick" designs before in a chandelier. They have a way to move the lamp holder up and down. Are they actually intended to melt the tubes with the heat of the lamps ?

no that not intention as this was lit at estate sale and they put too high of watt wattage candle bulbs in them. i think it was 40 watts max. but look like using 60 watts lamps in them. soon i find new sleeve for those candle sticks i am using 15 or 25 watts lamps in them. Thing is i never seen sleeves for them that long before.
