The wost thing about these things is that all the light is directed in one direction. Makes the place gloomy as hell especially when fitted away from the roof like this.

I mean why bother with retrofits anyway? With LED, they have so much more freedom to design bespoke new fittings that gets the best out of the new technology and instead they just create shite like this...

When I was dabbling with LED tubes I noticed that when the fluro was removed and the LED was fitted was much darker. But when a difuser was fitted nobody even noticed the lamp had changed.
