I'm not sure if they are as these pictures are a couple of years old now - I've been having a sort out, but I'd heard about this and made sure to see it before it was removed. All electronic gear running it but it was impressive and seriously bright. I'd have loved to see it on start up.

Someone captured pictures of this place and posted them in LG. I don't remember which member did this.

I wonder that ballasts they were using, I think the Philips EXC range may have gone up to 91W SOX-E (possibly 135W too) so could be using those?

These are exposed SOX lamps with only lamp sockets hanging on wires. Where are the ballasts?

Likely to be in the long connection boxes they are hung from (in the other photo) if they are using electronic.

Electronic ballasts can't operate remote from the lamps. I think the ballast is either autoleak or choke + two wires SOX ignitor.

They can be to a degree, they probably wouldn't like to be meters away from their lamps but this sort of distance is probably within the limits.
