1975 as 1985 would be K5 according to the Philips dating code sheet that Lee sent me yesterday Smile

Awesome so it's not as old as me... it's 10 years older! I wonder if it's the original tube from the fixture, as it came to me with the Crompton Star

If pins are soldered its 75 if they crimped and brass its 95..... Never seen a fitting like that before

Pins are soldered and a silver colour. I've never seen one of these fixtures on any forum, I'll get some pictures uploaded soon!

Wouldn't think the T5 battens that replaced these will still be working and on their original tubes in 42 years!

I have a fitting like this but its the twin SRS version. It had crompton branded philips grey ballasts, sadly one failed and one about to, so not original gear anymore. Replaced with transtar srs chokes.

Yep this one has the same grey Crompton (Philips) ballast. I also have the twin version, 3 of them in fact. Lovey fixtures, very well made and I love the style. My favourite twin fixtures are the type like this that hold the tubes underneath within the width of the fitting.
