The haul, so many 8 foots! 14/06/2017
Here's the haul from yesterday. Must be close to 100 8-footers, mostly GB Osram 125w warm whites along with quite a few Philips 125w warm whites.

Also a good selection of other goodness, a box of GE 20w kolorite, a box of GB Philips 2ft 40w/25 Natural, a box of GB Philips 20w/29, a box of 13w/23 Osram made in Italy, and a box of randomness mostly 4ft T8 & T12!

Amazing find!!! What was left in the way of 65W?

There was a partial box of newish (well, new enough to be 'CE' marked) Osram 65w/23's, I left them as I have tons of 5-foot tubes and they mentioned they wanted to keep most of the 5-footers anyway? There was no 6-foot tubes either which I though odd, perhaps they use them also so had stashed them away!

That's a shame I would of liked a few boxes of 5s to keep the fire stations going

I've still got two boxes of Philips 65w/33's spare, shame you're all the way down there!

Yeh you did bloody well with that lot quietly! What were the lamps with the brown parcel wrap on the ends?

Although tubes are not really my main interest I had to buy an 8 footer from a local lighting shop for a fitting at work, I nearly dropped through the floor when they wanted over £20 for it!

@Kev, GB Philips 125w/29. These had some tags taped on, said something like 'tested good spares - RAF'. Two in the middle of the bundle were smashed sadly

@Keiron, The price of 8' tubes has sky-rocketed, due to the EU T12 ban I think. They can be found cheap still but harder to find and usually have to buy a job lot Wink

The 8 foot fittings were in pelmets that faced upwards, since new owners have taken over the place I pressume the fittings are still up there but they never get used, I know one of them had to be disconnected as it was tripping the MCB.

Get it bought, will only need a replacement ballast and 8 footers are cool Cool
Keiron   [09 Aug, 2017 at 05:11 PM]
There are probably about 10 of the 8 foot fittings left up there, getting to them now would be a job & half though as since they have become obsolete & the place has had a refurb all the new cables have been chucked in the pelmets on top of said fittings :-/
