Generic 9w CFLs
Have you ever bought something from eBay that you didn't really want? You just bid because it ended within minutes and was dirt cheap...

Here you see a BNOS box of 50x generic B22 9w 2700k CFLs. The box was rather tatty and the staples rusty so they've likely been sat around in some warehouse for many years. No idea who made them.

These instant start and give a pleasant light output, I do like the shape of the tube too, much nicer than the traditional 'stick' shape. They produced a nice bit of initial banding when first struck up!

Very Happy impulse buying!, novel little CFLs though, with that cool little shape

Interesting... I like!

The seller has more, I've stuck links in the 'for sale' section

I've done the same many times. Some turned out to be worthwhile investments, others I'm stuck with as no-one wants them.

These were a worthwhile purchase I think. They look quite smart & provide a pleasant light quality (for a CFL anyway). I've no idea how long these will last, but for the bargain basement price, I'm not too worried

Might be worth seeing if you can flog a few at a car boot for a couple of quid each.

Or bring some to the meet!

I'll probably bring a few to the meet. If anyone wants any though they're so cheap just to buy on eBay, BIN £5 for ten delivered, links in the 'for sale' forum section

To be fair, that may well not last too badly actually - it's a big old base for a 9W driver, so hopefully won't run too hot. Interesting shaped lamp though, not seen one of them before.

I can safely say the life expectancy of these is somewhere between about 10 hours, to probably 2000 hours (at best). Shite.
