Red 8W T5
Ex MOD stock.
Get two for a fiver on ebay.
It's a Philips 830 tube with some thick red acrylic tube glued over.
There is a bit of purple in the image but you can't see that.
I'm assuming it's some infra or ultra leaking through.
It's a solid shade of red, like darkroom red.
Very nice tube.

Yeah I got a load of these a while ago. Nice sleeves give off a not very bright, but very deep red. Was going to have a load of mini light packs along the top of a big bookshelf in the hangout room but couldn’t be arsed wiring them all up lol.

These'd be great in a darkroom. Pity I don't do B&W anymore.

I really need to get myself a decent deep red T12 sleeve for one of the tubes in the light by the bed in my room. Plan is to keep one white, but have the one in red to save me blinding myself in the middle of the night.

I have a couple of these. They are very dim though. I'm sure they will last a long time.
