These lamps are gorgeous, especially when lit!

Very nice, I love that they did the proper etched pearl inside the coloured glass, gives the lamps quite a unique lit appearance

@Andy: By far these are the BEST coloured GLS bulbs I've got in my collection! Not even the best coated ceramic coloured GLS comes close and is a far cry from the cheap lacquered fireglow - come to think these ruby red bulbs would be ULTIMATE fireglow bulbs for electric fireplaces!!! @Beta5: Absolutely the acid etch gives it the final touch to the premium standard of these bulbs - it's specially done, I think, to prevent the glare from the zig zag filament which is crucial for sailors having to stand in one spot for a prolonged period, be it on submarines and/or ship bridges or wherever uninterrupted night vision is required. Come to think these ruby red bulbs are perfect for nightlight use for when you want to sleep but don't want to be in the dark without getting your circadian rhythm getting disrupted

Indeed a lovely soft light from these, it's been a while since I lit mine up but I recall they are pretty heavy too?
Yes they are quite heavy which adds to the premium feel to these ruby red bulbs
I wonder why they are so heavy? Guessing thick glass? it does indeed make them feel quality though
@Beta 5: it is thick glass cos the bulbs are actually handmade/handblown I think it was done that way specially to make the bulbs more robust
