this is pretty nifty! its not often you see US made Germicidal tubes, it seems for whatever reason they where some of the first to be outsourced, mostly coming from Japan

They used to use those for EPROM erasers back in the early 80s (for Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory chips with the clear window in the top to allow the UV light in).
