The Chinese 8000K 400W MH lamp at Peamit Store, exploded
I didn't expected this, as in the last time I've seen it, it had great color and also it was burned vertically.
Wondering what happened in the shop when this lamp exploded, as these are open transparent highbays, and the outerbulb broke as well.
I hope that this won't occur to me with my Aliexpress lamps.

I have not often seen them blow this bad

Oops. Still, I guess we have this to look forward to more often, with more makes buying in cheap Chinese lamps as they phase out their own production.

Ohhh!! Good job no one got injured whilst that occurred Shocked this goes to show to never trust the quality and safety of cheaply done Chinese manufacturing!!! Come to think my OSRAM HQI-E 250W MH bulbs are Chinese made and they're not for open fixtures!!

Who knows, maybe the ballast must have shorted/failed?

I don't expects even for Chinese MH lamps to explode in vertical burning position. Probaby the arc wasn't stable, if it have Dy-Tl alone without Cs.
