late 1980s May & Christe leak transformer
Here you can see a late 1980s May and Christe leak transformer for 180W LPS lamps that was fittted in my Philip SRP251 light when i got it. This ballast is not original to the light, so I removed it. I will but another ballast in the light.

As this is a real leak or like I prefer to say stray field transformer that does not need a capacitor to function properly thisone will most likely in my testbench, with the 90W version and eventually the 55W version when i get it.

That's a nice old unit! You know something is old when it says West Germany on it!

That’s a well built beast! Very Happy , bit like an early version of a Rynite ballast Cool

Good ballast, you know something like that will probably run just about forever.
