SUGG Surbiton My first and currently only gas lantern in the collection. Was fun getting this one here, it had to go in for asbestos removal before it could enter the collection. Very nice. Has somebody painted this as they were usually copper? My own Sugg has a few asbestos gaskets but I just sealed them with clear lacquer. It was quite badly damaged but I managed to get spares direct from Chris Sugg!

I think this is the original bodywork and finish, my 1924 SUGG catalogue mentions you could have them in polished aluminium so I think this is that version.
