1989-mid90s example Smile

Crossover lantern. The originals had a deeper canopy. They switched to this, then followed shortly after with a shallower bowl too. From memory, mid 90's tho the capacitor probably has a date code on it which would confirm

Just seen it on the other image, zooming in reveals 0988! One of the first produced

Earlier than I thought then

The one I uploaded the other day on the ac Ford bracket should that one have the bowl that Nialls one has above? Mine looks really odd with the shallow bowl and mid deep canopy

The intermediate one was the first designed for the shallow bowl, but it was offered with both. All the intermediate ones I've seen have had the shallow bowl fitted, but I think it's down to opinion on what's best for them.

Ah yes these were probably made for the shortest time though you do still see a good few about! Must have been one of the very first of this intermediate design being 1988! My own example also has a shallow bowl, though I think that may have been a replacement as it looks brand new with no scuffs or cloudiness.

@Danny its a SS4, not sure if its thermal? June 1996 dated. I posted about it on Facebook a few years ago I think, I'll tag you if I can find it.
