Woah, the true meaning of `new old stock`!!
How cool never knew simplex made fittings
Can't get much older for NOS stuff, rare interesting lampholders
Wow this is proper awsome! I've never seen these before I know thorlux made a very similar fitting with SRS gear and plastic lamp sleves over the lamps! Can we have a picture of the chokes please Nick?

The neoprene gaskets that would fit around the tubes are pristine. The tubes would be exposed, not in their own sleeves.
Sorry Kev, the innards are not accessible. They are sealed inside the heavy plastic coated body.
No way! How do you wire it up then can you not change the choke if it failed?
Kev the ballasts will never fail, you should know that. Connections can be made at either end via 3-way terminal blocks after the decision has been taken where to break through the PVC coating. Installation instructions just uploaded.

Lol I do know that ballast will never fail!
Built better than most stuff by the looks of it!
very similar to my double 5 foot thorlux plastic coated fitting, same sort of lampholders, mine are a cream colour
Ballasts fail... Had to change the tridonics ones in mine ;( But from the yellowing the fitting must have done deccades of 24/7 work
