Sugg Littleton gas lantern, restoration progress.
Cleaned and reassembled with the new windguard and bowl fitted courtesy of Christopher Sugg.

The gas burners and pilot light assembly is not fitted in the photo.

The bottom canopy and internal gas fittings still need quite a lot of work but externally it's all there and doesn't look too bad now!

Is it when you look at the photos showing what state it was in when I got it!

The Keighley & Worth Valley preserved railway still uses plenty of these and the Rochester models. They have a test rig that they use for servicing these lanterns and the guy in charge of maintaining them has invited me to come down and to get mine on it and get it going on gas. However it will have to wait as he and quite a few others are off on furlough at the point in time due to all the SARS bollocks.
