Thats a really good spread for an 18 in one of them, I bet that CDM was bright! Very Happy

Despite being almost twice as bright as the 50w MBF, the 35w CDM-T didn't look any brighter to be honest, even with the diffraction ring. I guess such a small point light source just doesn't work well with a lantern like this. One of those coated 35w Osram HCI-E/P's might have worked better but I never did find one at a sensible price...
I'm also quite impressed at how well it works! Too bad 18w was never offered as an option!

They may of been on a special from Thorn in Truro we have some 18W beta 5s that hang on!

At first I wasn't sure about this but now I've decided that I love the warm glow of monochromatic goodness in the garden Smile Its far easier on the eyes than the cold harsh MBF! Smile
