Thorn OQ 100 projector floodlight: High voltage pulse ignitor
Thorn OQ 1000 projector floodlight for 1 x 1000w CSI PAR64 metal halide lamp.

 The ballast and PFC capacitors are mounted remotely. Only the ignitor is located within the unit. The pulse transformer can be see in the insert picture with the relay that controls it wrapped up on the front.
A timer is mounted within the remote gearbox which triggers the ignitor for 3 seconds each time power is applied to the unit.

 The wiring is as follows:
 Brown: live from ballast.
 Blue: Neutral 
 Yellow/Green: Earth
 Black: Ignitor trigger.

 This 150w G12 metal halide version of this luminaire has the control gear mounted in this back box.
