Big boys these!! I dont particularly like the bracket mounting on these but theyre a good quality solid tough lantern!
I really like the design of these and the look quality lantern is this one NOS???
Yeah they seem prone to twisting on the brackets.

Yes it is unused. Might convert this one to 400w Having the mount right at the bottom allows some nice rotational force to be built up from the windage I suppose.

My only gripe with these is the contacts setup inside. As is common with these "safe isolating" fittings you can't bloody fault find. Then when you've swapped every component you find the contacts aren't making when you close it

Got a picture of the gear tray mark?

I'll whack one up.

LOL Davy, yeah thats not a good idea when you want to test anything, that Merlin board in our new unit is the same, normally you have to drop the main switch to even get the cover off!, causing havok with the fire alarm and intruder alarm!, I have to just unscrew the handle now to keep everything on, and gain access to the inside.

Yeh some of the MEMs are like that too! Fantastic when you have an office full of people on computers!

Anyone ever see one of these in MBF flavour? I found an old PDF on the net a while ago and it was listed in the options! They also did an alloy canopy & gearbox option.

Cool proper lanterns!

I saw a pair of MBF ones with bowls in Italy last August
