Thanks Andy. I've got quite a few tubes with smashed pins or otherwise broken end caps that need repairing

I might actually try that on one of my lamps just to get a view down the tube when it's on.

I've been using this lamp for some time, it's working fine still. Only issue is the end cap is weakened somewhat, so I must remember not to store it stood vertically on that end!
