These are used in microwaves, they don't seem to really have a holder, they are just attached to this plastic base and have spade connections

yes I never knew you'd see them in microwave ovens cos I thought they always can be replaced

Yep, I've seen them in a couple of microwaves I've opened up in the past
Not seen one EOL yet as I guess they get fairly low hours (really just seconds or minutes at a time) so probably last the life of the appliance, especially in modern day cheap crap!

Interesting, it must reduce arcing at the pins that could potentially happen with microwave energy?

@Beta 5: Never got the chance to open one yet
and I've seen one go EOL in the first microwave that my Dad bought before I was born - it got discarded in 2011 as the protective paint was disintegrating but it lasted a long time - it was a Panasonic Genius microwave that had a teal green digital clock/timer (VFD)
