Or they could have been for ship navigation lighting
and they are slightly older than the green Cryselco one as they have the exhaust tip again these are extremely beautiful

Thank you! Yes, I think these are slightly older than the green lamp given the pip. It's possible these were navigation lamps I suppose!

They could have been used for other night time applications - especially on ship bridges/control rooms. Also for observation towers where the use of red light not only preserves night vision but to light up the area discreetly
