The Magnalite is certainly an interesting old lantern, the one piece glass is so crazy delicate, I'm honestly surprised I didn't damage it during restoration.

have you got or seen one of the magnalites where the wings are just glass in a metal framework? there were some round cane hill hospital years back, the silvering came off and you could see right though the curved glass panels !

I have seen those, I know of one installed on private land still working come to think of it. I think they were known as Skeleton Magnalites if memory serves me correctly.
