Yes, quite US looking?, I don’t remember ever seeing these around Cheshire Cool

Yeah, its a GE M250 made under licence. There's a GE logo under the Phosco sticker. I think there was some around Deeside. Bournemouth and Leicester used them a fair bit too.

I like these, especially when fitted with a bowl like this Cool We did have one new road that was built with these fitted around 15 years ago but lost them a few years ago to LED.

Yeah I think they get some unfair stick, yes they were seemingly a budget lantern, but they didn't really look that bad in situ, there was a lot worse out there! Out town used them around the very early 00s, but some nearby LAs were still fitting them early-mid 2010s . There was quite a few bowl options for these too, Deep, cutoff, semi cutoff, FG etc.

Most of the US cobraheads I've seen look to be built in a similar way to these, fairly thin aluminium castings with no gasket etc. I think that's just how they are, which is a bit different when compared with out equivalent lanterns like the Arc and the Evolo!
The ones near me were on some sort of post top adaptor brackets which looked a bit odd, but I think they'd look nice on a cranked bracket like you used to see some of the old SOX lanterns mounted too.
