Gas lanterns 2
I was quite surprised at how many gas lanterns are still in service around the city of Berlin in Germany!

Close up at the internals. You can see the mantles at the top.
These have been modified with a modern photocell control system that operates both the ignition system and the gas solenoid.
Interestingly I couldn't see any feed so it looks like it is battery powered!

Clever Germans, to use modern switching to light gas tech Cool , gas mantles are awesome, their like little CMH lamps Wink
