Aqua-Signal 1044 2 x 20w 24vDC. Full Power.
1 x Aqua-Signal 1044 marine fluorescent luminaire for 2 x 20w lamps.

The luminaire came with two Philips 18w T8 lamps but as the sticker says 20w I grabbed the first set of T12 lamps that came to hand and whacked them in for the photo.
530 is a horrible colour tbh!!!
The startup is like a very fast SRS fade in.

These are incredibly robust IP67 fittings and can be found on ships all over the world.
They are available in a variety of control gear such as 240 and 110v AC in switch-start and HF. They are also, like this one, available in 24vDC.
The luminaire body is available in either 316 stainless or zinc plated steel.

Why 24 volt for a ship?, interesting fittings though, I thought that voltage was just for transport use? Smile

Yeah that is quite strange, the ones I’ve seen on cruise ships and ferries have been switch start.

Can be used on a small yacht without AC power
