Home-made CFL repair/modification

Last weekend I brought back the base of this, a Philips 9w Ambiance CFL from the lamp bin. The lamp itself had little use but only the remains of the outer glass, so I carefully hammered the last chips off and stored it in my messy "project box". Later this week, after sorting out a box of EOL lamps (and throwing most of them away) I salvaged the glass from a cheap Chinese CFL which came apart in my hands. After some super-gluing and waiting I'm quite pleased with the result.
