Mazda/BTH 300w lamp (property of the War Department)

A rather nice, unused (but with a scruffy box!) old Mazda 300w lamp with an interesting stamp on the side, marked "property of the war department". This indicates the lamp is ex-military stock, and may well have been purchased during the second world war due to a paper rationing notice present on the carton.
