I think usually the quick start ballast incorporates the transformer inside the ballast, but here, the transformer is separated, which you can turn any switch start ballast to quick start ballast.

Correct dor. Also means should this QS unit fail it can be converted to SS without too much trouble! Same with the SS ballast if that fails just swap for any SS ballast
