Philips 250w SON-T DECO "White SON" Very high pressure "white" sodium lamp giving improved colour rendering of CRI 80 and a cooler colour temperature of 2500k. Designed as a competitor to Iwasaki's 'Specialux' white SON lamp but was never very successful despite the lower cost due to these lamps having wide colour shift variations and needing several hundred hours to stabilise. Production only ran for a few years. Note the metal cups at either end of the arc tube for thermal insulation as well as the thicker arc tube to withstand the higher pressure and temperatures. 2500k 8000h 13500lm CRI 80%

Yes this was from the 'bay. The seller originally had them listed for silly money but I waited untill the price dropped due to lack of sales to sensible levels Smile

Too bad they were rubbish! Smile I mean 13,500 lm is barely more than a 150w SON-DL... which is already dimmer than a standard 150w SON!

8000h was the claim and I have my doubts if they even ever really achieved that in reality. Beautiful colour light, but Philips didn't do a good job in making this a quality lamp, and soon abandoned the production.
