this went very quickly, about a week ago i noticed a slight shimmer from the light, but so slight i thought nothing of it, it got worse over the week, then all of a sudden went a lot dimmer and started the old SRS rattle on the ballast, time to get the tube out as i left one in a while before and it knackered the ballast . Bit disapointed in the life of this, recon its been in 4 to 5 years max, and only gets light usage in my garage at home

That fitting a twin 85w Atlantic? Saw some hanging (just) in a long disused quarry earlier today, along with some that had fallen. Seemed to have one large single ballast in them to drive both tubes. They were rusted to fuck, having been exposed to the elements for a good 20yrs (probably still work however) but I didn't bother with them as I'd have had to lug the fittings for miles to get to a vehicle and I already had that twin 5' SRS to carry. Took some pix on my DSLR, I'll upload a few later.
