Curious red half-coated filament lamp

This is on a fairground attraction (a fairground organ), it has 2 of these very strange half coated GLS lamps on it. I believe I recall also seeing a yellow and maybe even a blue one, so these don't seem like some kind of factory coating error but actually seem to be a legitimate product sold at some point. These lamps are definitely very old. Picture from a few years ago.
