Old HF ballasts are now interesting
I never used to find old HF gear interesting at all but now these days with it becoming rare I do like a good old Philips thorn or osram HF ballast. I found this early - mid 80s Thorn EMI ballast today letting it dry out as it’s been in a damp barn for decades god knows when this was last used this has the old classic blue PCB lol

The good old ballasts lasted. The ones from the 2000's some lasted well and some don't.
The Chinese CFL ballast of my Hyundai Baguette 102, is now almost 15 years old, and still working.
