1000w Mercury: UK vs USA

Thought it would be fun to run up two different 1000w MBF lamps at the same time.

On the left is a UK made low voltage Osram HQL. On the right is a US made high voltage Sylvania H36GW/DX
The Sylvania lamp has a lovely deep red start but was surprising at just how much quicker the UK Osram ran up!
At full brightness there really wasn't that much difference in the colour tbh.
