Horizon Major with MA/V I had to try the two MA/Vs I have from the enamel fittings. The Major has no arc deflector, so I turned it on its end to run them. Both lamps like the lantern worked with no issues! A slightly spluttery start, but they soon settled down.

I am not as old, but a worn 400W Halide in an AEL327 or AEL125 that burns clear Merc color (as usually was the case with the lighting in the parking lot or extended areas of gas stations) to me was a sight of the road home after a good travel/adventure
