Atlas superslim 4'
Very stylish fitting, the Atlas Superslim found very high popularity, and to date, hundreds, if not thousands are still in use. The fitting here is the first 4' example, and the first one to have escaped the paintbrush in any way. All it needed in this case was a good cleanup to reveal a real gem.

there is a shop in town that has twin superslims. Atlas badged on the side. Now running T8's (GB GE last time i was in there) Testament to how well these things were made

Theres a very run down shop here in the twin 5' configuration. Plates mounted to the spine suggest they once had diffusers.

I dont know what it is with these fittings in particular, but they always seemed to get painted. I've had about 8-9 examples in the collection, and all of them seem to have paint of some form or another slapped over them.

Probably the fact they always seem to go rusty very easily. Could have done with a thicker coat in the factory....
