Alesis 3630 Compressor

An Alesis 3630 'compressor'. Main purpose these were designed for is to lessen the difference between loud & quiet sounds, in addition to that it can also change/limit the output level (really its more a piece of pro equipment rather than hone-stereo equipment)

Part of the reason I got this is because allot of newer CD's are recorded so loud that they even cause a bit of distortion (and ofcourse the simple annoying fact that there's a pretty big difference in volume between old/new). The idea was to cut down the volume/output on those newer albums...which this does sorta do what I wanted/needed :) -- though it will also by its nature modify the dynamics if the music being played.

If I don't want it in the loop, I can easily bypass it.
