Fitzgerald 30W T12, early 70s
I remember two of these being installed in a friend's house in the very early 70s. I always had my mind on them. Only one remained in the end and I got it!

its even got thorn pop pack starter socket fitted to it ! how did fitzgerald pull this copy off from thorn, anyone know?

I noticed the Thorn starter socket. I don't recall seeing the octagonal lamp sockets anywhere else. Could this be the beginning of Fitzgerald? It was definitely the beginning of the 70s when it was fitted.

Yes very very early Fitzgerald someone recently chucked a couple of these that I really wanted! Mad I think Fitzgerald did some kind of deal with thorn! They are only up the road from me I may call in and ask

Doesn't surprise me, Kev. They always looked too much like Thorn for there not to be some sort of 'arrangement'.
