Transtar KL65 5ft 65w SRS Ballast Repainted

Remember this? Here's is what it looks like now after a quick clean up and a couple of coats of cheapo radiator paint. The ballast block itself cleaned up quite well however the base plate is a bit pitted which you can see through the paint, but it doesn't matter.

This has completely dried out now and is showing zero earth leakage & will be getting put into regular use in a Crompton Star fitting once the paint has fully cured.

What an improvement Shocked , wonder if you can print some sort of label out for it?

That's magic!

tbh I probably won't bother with a label, it's not even the correct colour lol, should be cream. Just wanted to keep the rust off.

This has been in regular use since repainting & is working perfectly still. Amazing the abuse magnetic gear can withstand, the fitting this was in had been rained on for many years and had near enough rotted away to nothing!

Magnetic gear is the best.

I drew a wiring diagram on it in permanent marker lol. Couldn't be bothered with a label on this one

I've got a template for that type of Transrar ballast if you'd like an edited copy?
