Philips HPL 4 125W/642
Two new Philips 125w MBF/U lamps in colour 642 (>60% CRI 4200k)

The "4" refers to the recommended service lifetime of four years (for group relamping) in public lighting applications.

It seems that they have focused mainly on reducing early lamp failures as they claim figures of:
12,000 hours to 5% failures, 20,000 hours to 20% failures and 24,000 hours to 50% failures.
A standard 125w HPL-N is only rated at 16,000 hours to 50% failures.

The last time I saw these for sale, off the shelf, was at an aquatic store, for fish tank lighting Cool
And I thought the same Dan, I wish I’d had got some, they were only about £14 each!
