End of an era?
Having seen someone mentioning that Toolstation were still stocking MBF lamps - and at £0.84 each obviously on clearance, I did some checking. These appear to be the last two in stock anywhere in Buckinghamshire.

Sure some smaller wholesalers will still have some old dusty stock for a while yet...but I reckon this is probably the end of my seeing them in a mainstream retailer.

I'll probably keep one of these as having one of the last seems worthy for the collection, may find a use for one though as I've never really used mercury for anything, reckon I should fix that just for interest value.

Trouble is, these later versions, be they, Venture, Ediswan or CED green out within 18 months, so their not worth using anyway, however better to use these, and keep the likes of your Philips, GE and German Osrams for best Wink

To be honest if I've got half a dozen Mercs that's it. Did grab a couple of the more exotic colours on eBay a while ago purely out of curiousity. Shame these last lamps aren't up to much, though hardly a surprise really. Look at how SOX quality plummeted over the last few years.
