These really are nice to have complete with box and all packaging! The circular adaptor part is more pleasing to my eye than the oblong adaptor. I wonder if the choke itself is of a different construction?

amazing, mine is waiting for me at my aunties opposite

is lamp 3500K?

very interesting, for some reason I always thought these Round ones where older then the oblong ones, I think maybe because I have only seen the oblong ones in Consumer style packaging, where as I have only seen the round ones in more wholesale/commercial packaging, either way very nice find I also ordered a couple hopefully they will arrive in the next few days

No information on anything to find out about the bulb's CRI/Temp. I'd say it was a 530 from a quick gander at it warming up for the first time but i'm probably wrong.

I always thought that the round adapters were older than the oblong ones. The tubes that come with these are colour 827.

I’ve not tested it but would bet on 2700k tbh.

If they are then i'm impressed! Most 2D fluorescents of this size i've seen in my life have been halo lit. It could just be that the diffusers have been heavily baked on most the ones i've seen though or just that the tubes have been swapped out with cheap ones. - Set it up in dark area and it is 827, fairly bright too.

To be honest I have never seen a 2D CFL with halophosphate coating. All the ones I have seen from these early 80's Thorn lamps to modern crappy Chinese copies have been triphosphor. In fact, I'd be interested to see a halo 2D lamp!

I don’t think halo would like it inside heavily loaded tubes like CFL’s tbh.

Well it might not be halo but it certainly wasn't triphosphor on the ones I saw dotted about! I'll have to try and find one. Perhaps it was but the tubes were tired and didn't shine too well through the lighter torched plastic.
