Dishwasher tablets dissolved in a bucket of water work well too. Wear gloves tho!

The best stuff I've found is 'No Nonsense' degreaser cleaner from Screwfix, diluted 50/50 with water in a spray bottle. It shifts any type of oily dirt & grime that seems to accumulate in these things.

All Sodium Hypochlorite degreasers work. They even take out the yellowing that bit into the paint of luminaire spines and gear covers. But they also dissolve the paint of any labels, lamp etches, etc
