Philipe 55w SOX
A Philips 55w SOX lamp.
Top shows just a bit after turning on, bottom fully warmed up.

This is my 2nd SOX lamp (other is also a 55w, as is the only fitting I have).
Its also my 1st Belgium-made lamp.

I love the startup on SOX...and would say in general that it has the best of any lamp type!
I also like the yellow color...even if it does make everything look sort of 'dead'

Something changed with the way uploading works here .UG.
couldn't even make it work, until I found link to the old upload page in my browser history

Yeah, these are a really nice well built lamp this era of philips. I really do like these. Yes, we made some changes to the file uploader. Before you could only upload one photo at a time and it was very slow and a long drawn out process doing photos 1 by 1 so we fixed the multi file uploader so you can now upload a maximum of 10 at once in a 24h period. Having the multi file uploader fixed has massively speeded up uploading time as you can upload them in seconds and go back and do the title / info. However if this is not working for you, what is happening when you go to use this new feature?

@FrontSideBus: Yep it is!

@thorncollector: Nice to know its age range.

@Danny: Good to know its well built Smile

I'd always used the old '1 at a time' upload (I know you could supposedly do multiple if you had flash installed, but its something I purpusely never installed on my main computer .lol. )
With the new upload page, I get something that looks kinda similar to the old '1 at a time' page...I can select a file & fill out title/description/etc, but it does nothing, there's no 'upload' button (The hidden 'Edit uploaded files' button doesn't do anything either .lol.)
.. . I note that the new page says HTML5. The computer I use for general stuff like reading forums & looking at the various light photo-gallery sites is..um..lets just say a little out of date. I doubt it understands HTML5 stuff Laughing

I have a link saved to the old upload page, that still works so I'll use it Smile
