very cool! is this using 170Ma cathodes? im not surprised by its high arc voltage as thats what neon is known for, hence its use in VHO tubes to increase the power density per foot by raising the arc voltage compared to normal argon buffer gas Smile I imagine it probably gets quite warm with such a high power loading
